The Morning Room is relatively unchanged since 1863. Remnants of the original wallpaper are preserved and displayed. The fireplace is one of the original consignment from Britain and is made from Italian marble. The decorative tiles inside the fireplace are reproduced in the very bright colour scheme which was originally in the wallpaper pattern supplied by Crace. The Morning Room is an intimate space suitable for entertaining one or two visitors for morning or afternoon tea and is more often used as a waiting room for official callers and guests. .
